Welcome to Pear Tree Hypnotherapy

My name is Andrea Partridge and in 2014, after a successful career in Sales and Marketing and starting a family, I decided to retrain as a beauty and holistic therapist and launched my business Pear Tree Pampering. http://www.peartreepampering.co.uk

As a qualified Reflexologist, it became apparent when treating clients that although I could help with a wide range of issues, ranging from stress to insomnia, IBS  to fertility issues, symptoms were often more deep-rooted. I had experienced hypnotherapy personally for some business performance confidence and seen first-hand how it helped a family member with a fear of flying and decided to train in Clinical Hypnotherapy to complement my other holistic treatments.

In August 2024 I gained my Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy having studied at the award-winning Royal Berkshire College of Clinical Hypnosis.   The qualification includes Hypnoanalysis and techniques in Psychotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT).

I am fully insured and a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and a Licentiate Member of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP) and can be found on the National Register of Psychotherapists and Counsellors (NRPC).

I practice from a relaxing treatment room in Windlesham on the Surrey/

Berkshire border.

What is Hypnosis?

Our mind is made up of the conscious and subconscious. The conscious mind is the practical logical side and the subconscious is where we hold our core beliefs and the behaviours that we have learned. Sometimes the experiences in the subconscious mind can begin to have a negative impact.

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis, a natural state that we often find ourselves in without realising. An example is daydreaming, which is when we shift from the conscious mind for a while and access our subconscious. Hypnotherapy simply allows us to access the subconscious part of the mind to find solutions and make positive changes in our lives.

What is Hypnoanalysis?

We sometimes do not understand why we act the way we do or feel the way we do or behave in a certain way. Repressed memories are rooted in the subconscious and can have a negative impact on behaviour. Repressed memories do not go away.

Hypnoanalysis works by finding the root of the issue, accessing the cause and therefore releasing the emotion attached to it and alleviating the problem. This works particularly well if there is an emotional or psychological element causing the symptoms.
